Abstract
Fingerprint analysis usually comprises the following five tasks: 1) image segmentation, 2)
orientation field estimation, 3) image enhancement, 4) feature extraction and 5) feature
matching. This talk focusses on the first three tasks and concludes with challenges towards latent fingerprint analysis
