Technology meets High Fashion: Experimenting with a Visual Engine for Fashion Vwani Roychowdhury University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Professor, Electrical Engineering I will present a comprehensive approach to automatically understanding and modeling fashion from a computational vision perspective. I will discuss how we learned shape, structure, pattern and style in an almost automated manner from millions of images crawled from the web. I will then share our experience in designing a fashion search engine: www.stileye.com and share some of the insights on user feedback and response.
