(From the attached PDF: ) In two lectures (this is the second) I covered the gist of the Eisenbud-Sturfels paper "Binomial Ideals". The main results are that the associated primary components, and radical, of a binomial ideal in a polynomial ring are binomial if the base ring is algebraically closed.
