The system arises in the theory of condensates.(We also discuss a related population system). We obtain limiting equations (a scalar equation if we originally had a system of two equations),discuss bounds for solutions which are independent of the large parameter and discuss when we can use properties of solutions of the limit system to obtain properties of solutions of the original equations.
