Accelerated Sampling Methods and Path Finding Algorithms Based on Transition Path Theory

October 19, 2017
Abstract
Eric Vanden-Eijnden - Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences Transition path theory (TPT) is a theoretical framework for describing activated processes in complex systems. It can also be used as a starting point for developing efficient numerical algorithms for analyzing such rare processes. Here I will review the basic components of TPT and discuss accelerated sampling methods and path-finding algorithms that can be build upon this theoretical framework.
